Polypropylene lines - KPP and RPP

Polypropylene -[-CH2-CH(CH3)-]n-, product of propylene polymerisation, thermoplastic of white-yellow colour. Density 0,90-0,91 g/cm³.

There are the following:

• isotactic polypropylene which contains up to 95% of crystalline phase, it is lighter than water, is highly resistant to acids, bases, inorganic salts.
• syndiotactic polypropylene with intermediate properties, atactic polypropylene - containing only amorphous phase, with plasticine consistency.
  

Polypropylene is used to produce film, tubes, gear wheels, machine casing, low-revolution bearings. Elements of fixtures, flooring, containers. Fishing lines and nets are made of continuous polypropylene fibres. Cut fibres are added to mixtures with wool and cotton in textile industry. Polypropylene micro-porous capillary fibres are used for ultrafiltration and gas division.
